How AEG(Automatic Electric Gun) Work

Automatic electric guns or AEGs are the most popular airsoft guns for survival games, powered by batteries that drive pistons which push air to shoot BBs.

Essentially AEGs work similarly to air-powered guns with spring-driven pistons, except the spring compression in the former is activated by a battery-powered gearbox, whose recycling also reloads BBs. 

Previously AEGs typically were powered by portable batteries but now generally use 7.4-11.1V LiPo or lithium-ion polymer battery.
